New Games on Android and IOS: Final Fantasy VIII and MTG Arena

When Android and iOS operating systems came out, it couldn’t even envision supporting games like Final Fantasy VIII in a pocket-sized smartphone. But technology progresses so fast, with iOS and Android smartphones capable of running pretty much any apps you may need including some exciting computer games.

Thanks to developers like Square Enix, it is now possible to play a video game originally made for powerful gaming computers and consoles. The releases are pretty frequent too, with many developers joining in the chorus.

To that point, we look at the two games we are most excited about with their recent launch on Android and iOS smartphones.

Final Fantasy VIII

When Final Fantasy was relaunched in HD for the modern gaming consoles like Xbox One, all hell broke loose with gamers making it a mega-hit RPG of 2019. Square Enix - its developer has finally managed a remastered version of the game to Android and iOS devices, making it even more accessible to the wider gamers. Although the game comes with some glitches and an unplayable Chocobo World, it is pretty exciting already in its early days.

Magic: The Gathering Arena

If you prefer a card game over a glitzy battle, the launching of the Magic: The Gathering Arena is certainly going to excite you. The physical cards were first released in the early nineties, and now can be played digitally on your iOS or Android devices. The same real-world rules apply here too, with players building their decks to challenge each other. Developed by Wizards of the Coast, the game is also known as MTG Arena.

To conclude, both Final Fantasy VIII and MGA Arena are available on Google Play and App Store. The latter is free to download, while the Final Fantasy VIII would cost you about $17 for either iOS or Android version.
