Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company that is known as the leading developer of personal-computer and software systems. The company is well known for manufacturing personal computers, computer software, consumer electronics and related service. The most popular software products are the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, the Microsoft Office suite, and the Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge web browsers.


Although they were getting tremendous success in the PC software line, they were unaware of their possible commercial success in the internet world. They didn’t really move towards the internet world until 1996. In 1996 Microsoft corporation introduced its very first own browsing system ‘Internet explorer’ and moved aggressively to capture the Internet market and service distributor.


Everything with the Internet Explorer could have been fine only if Microsoft wouldn't have announced a new browser. On March 17, 2015, Microsoft introduced their new default browser Microsoft Edge as the replacement of Internet Explorer for Windows 10.
